Harvesting Negativity from Daily Life

David Oromith · 26 minutes · recorded May 5, 2024

Mindfulness of breathing at the belly, with counting offered as a way to keep continuity of attention when the mind wanders or grows dull. David tells the parable of two neighbours gathering produce, one filling his basket with rot and complaint, the other with what nourishes, to talk about what we choose to attend to and bring home each day. He points to our natural negativity bias and encourages noticing the ordinary good, without pretending difficulty away.
