Accessibility

At Samadhi, we are committed to ensuring that our offerings – including live online and in-person classes, retreats, recordings, podcasts, and other online materials – are accessible to all. Our aim is to create an inclusive environment that welcomes everyone, regardless of their abilities.
Online Events Accessibility Features
- Real-Time Captioning: We offer real-time captioning for our live events to support participants who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- High-Quality Audio Recordings: We ensure clear audio quality during our sessions, and our recordings are of high quality to facilitate easy listening. Our live presentations generally do not rely on visual aids. This approach ensures that individuals who are visually impaired have access to all crucial information.
- Automatic Captions in Media Player: Our media player (provided by Vimeo) supports automatic captions, enhancing accessibility for our online content.
- Transcripts & Notes: We are in the process of creating transcripts for all our teachings to make our content more accessible. Several of our courses and study programmes come with notes to accompany each session.
Website Navigation and Readability:
- Our website has been tested for responsiveness on various devices, ensuring a seamless experience across desktops, tablets, and smartphones.
- We strive to present information in a simple and understandable manner.
- Users can adjust the font size through their browser settings to improve readability according to their needs.
- Our website is designed to be fully navigable for individuals who are blind or have low vision and use assistive technologies such as screen readers. We are always working to improve this.
In-Person Events and Retreats
- Accessible Venues: The venues we use for our in-person events and retreats have been chosen with accessibility in mind. Features include:
- Lifts and ramps to accommodate individuals with mobility challenges.
- Ground floor and accessible bedrooms to ensure comfort for all participants.
- Venue-Specific Accessibility Information: As accessibility varies between venues with some being modern buildings and others being of historical significance, we encourage participants to get in touch with us for detailed information about the specific accessibility features of each venue.
