Fundraising for the Samadhi Eco Retreat Centre
Be part of building a space where wellbeing and sustainability thrive
We envision an inspiring and welcoming place for like-minded people to gather, visit, and share together, exploring contemplative practices and sustainable living.
This will be a home for our community – a place to heal and soothe our overworked minds and bodies, get back in touch with nature, and connect through harmony and kindness.
This is our vision for the Samadhi Eco Retreat Centre – an off-grid centre for community and spiritual development. We invite you to be a part of this journey.

"Bettering Ourselves To Better Our World"
Action Plan
Phase 1 - Land Acquisition
Raise £200k to purchase a suitable piece of land, cover planning and legal fees, and sustainability assessments.
Phase 2 - Initial Construction
Fund the building of essential structures like a main hall, facilities for events, and accommodation for the first residents and volunteers. This will allow us to host non-residential community events & day retreats.
Phase 3 - Expansion and Community Engagement
Gradually build additional facilities such as retreat cabins, and start hosting residential retreats and workshops.
Phase 4 - Self-Sustainability
Expand food production, invest in renewable energy systems, and work towards self-sustainability and having a longer term impact.
Donate
By donating to The Samadhi Project, you are helping to realise our vision for a more peaceful and harmonious world. Our hope is that this Retreat Centre will not only help many people directly but also be an inspiration to the rest of the world.
Over the many years that we hope it will remain, thousands upon thousands of people may visit and benefit from the practices they learn and the skills they develop. Each of these individuals venture back into their lives and have an impact on those around them.
We are so grateful for your support for this humble project, and we look forward to welcoming you to the Samadhi Eco Retreat Centre as soon as we can.
Donor Wall
We give huge thanks to each of our donors who are showing great kindness in supporting our vision. May our collective efforts bring wellbeing and happiness to all.

A wonderful vision
What will life at the Samadhi Eco Retreat Centre be like?
The core ethos of our retreat centre will be about creating a nurturing community and supporting dedicated practitioners and aspiring yogis as they enter into retreat.
We will have individual retreat cabins for those wanting to do long-term practice, a main retreat space, accommodation for visitors and volunteers, veggie patches, fruit trees, and a zero-waste shop and cafe open to the public. The centre may also provide sanctuary to rescued farm animals. This will all be set in a rural, spacious and secluded location.
We will invite inspiring and forward-thinking teachers to come and give talks and lead retreats. We’ll host retreats on meditation, Buddhism and yoga, run workshops on permaculture and sustainable living. Our community will thrive through their practice of loving-kindness and helpfulness to one another. It will be a place of inspiration and healing.
Our Vision Board
The Main Space
We envision a bright, airy space, with plenty of natural light, built with natural materials. We hope for it to provide space for a big group of people to be comfortable with a yoga mat and cushion.
The Cabins
We envision different types of cabins. Some, for those joining group retreat, will feature a bedroom and bathroom, and others will also be fitted with kitchen facilities and space for practice so that they are self-sustaining for those entering longer-term personal retreats.
The Exterior
We envision land with gardens, meadows, rivers, ponds, and woodlands stretching and winding around our facilities. These will provide plenty of nooks for people to retreat to, quiet spots for meditation, to be close to nature, and feel supported and nurtured by the land.
The Gardens
We envision kitchen gardens which grow to sustain and support our living and visiting community. We will observe organic and no-dig principles and permaculture ethics, aiming to grow as naturally as possible and work with the land rather than against it.
