About the Book
Life doesn’t just happen to us. We choose the kind of life we lead with our thoughts, feelings, and actions.
Our state of mind flavours our world – when we’re sad, the world is coloured with a sort of gloomy and grey outlook; where everything seems bad or depressing and without hope. When we’re happy, that same world is coloured in a more fantastical, colourful way, where we notice the good and feel more positive and hopeful.
Things can go wrong so often, but we don’t have to struggle against the tide of challenge and change. The truth is, we don’t have much control over the external world, but we can have control over our internal world. We do this by cultivating the mind and changing our thoughts and feelings. This radical approach of mind transformation is what the Buddha taught over 2,600 years ago.
