A Summary of the View, Meditation, and Conduct of Dzogchen
The framework of the Great Perfection in two parts: the view, then meditation, conduct and dying well.
Yangthang Rinpoche, one of the great Dzogchen masters of recent times, drew on his learning and his meditative experience to compose a short meditation manual, A Summary of the View, Meditation, and Conduct. In it he sets out the basic framework of the practice of the Great Perfection, regarded by many as the pinnacle of Tibetan Buddhism, and introduces techniques for investigating the mind in a radically empirical, rational way that is both deeply contemplative and rigorously scientific. Recorded at Colet House in London in 2017, this two-part course is Lama Alan Wallace's oral transmission of that text together with his commentary on it: the view in the first part, then meditation, conduct and how the practice bears on dying well in the second.
