Discover Compassion Meditation

A twelve-session course in compassion meditation with Glen Svensson, covering the four immeasurables, bodhicitta and the practice of exchanging self with others.

Glen Svensson introduces the practices of compassion meditation, which cultivate a boundless, open and affectionate heart towards oneself and all sentient beings, across four days and twelve sessions. The course begins with the Four Immeasurables as taught by the Buddha, which lay a foundation for bodhicitta. Alongside loving kindness, compassion, empathetic joy and equanimity, Glen covers methods for working with attachment and with anger, and the near and far enemies of the loving heart. The third day turns to bodhicitta, the mind of enlightenment, taking in great compassion, the practice of exchanging self with others, and tonglen, the practice of taking and giving. The final day brings it all together through the four-fold balance model: motivational, attentional, cognitive and emotional balance. Throughout, Glen covers the qualities to nurture during meditation, practical tools for the difficulties that arise, and ways of carrying compassion into daily life. Each session includes both teaching and guided meditation. The course suits those new to compassion meditation as well as those with an established practice. The course is in four parts of three sessions each, and each
