Dwelling in the Heart of Reality

D4S2 - The Circular Movement of the Intellect

Lama Alan · Eva Natanya · 132 minutes · recorded January 1, 2020

Eva Natanya draws out the circular movement of the intellect, which Gregory Palamas quotes from Dionysius: awareness returning to itself and beholding itself in the heart, set beside awareness of awareness in Dzogchen. The meditation is an inquiry: who am I, where did this consciousness begin, could it have arisen from matter or been infused fresh from the divine mind. Lama Alan answers that the guru for all Christians is Jesus the Christ, and realisation comes through devotion and reverence.
