Joyful Heart: Exploring the Four Immeasurables

Session Four - Questions and Discussion

David Oromith · 16 minutes · recorded June 11, 2024

Questions and discussion following the four immeasurables retreat, closing with a short dedication rather than a practice. David takes questions on book recommendations, on aiming for progress rather than perfection, and on telling harmless joy from joy that should not be rejoiced in. He discusses keeping compassion separate from the need for boundaries against harmful behaviour, and advises a participant on staying positive amid a negative community, before closing on catching envy early.

To protect the privacy of the live participants, some sharing and discussion have been omitted from the recording. Questions are either repeated by David or embedded as text into the video.
