Dzogchen Retreat - The Foolish Dharma of an Idiot Clothed in Mud and Feathers by Düdjom Lingpa

D6S2 - Resting in Awareness, and Why Nothing Exists Inherently

Lama Alan · 83 minutes · recorded June 12, 2025

A short experiment asks the group to rest in bare awareness for a few seconds before Lama Alan turns to Padmasambhava's song on dualistic grasping, tracing why day and night, joy and sorrow, and even galaxies are displays within pristine awareness rather than things existing from their own side. Using the example of a pair of glasses, he shows how nothing is inherently anything until it is conceptually labelled.
