Guided Meditation - Loving Kindness and Compassion

David Oromith · 25 minutes · recorded June 26, 2025

You begin with yourself, attended to as you would a dear friend, breathing in the wish for happiness and breathing out the wish to be free of pain. The same wishes go to a loved one, a stranger, then someone you are in conflict with, cutting past what differs to what is the same. It ends wide, holding those who cause suffering alongside those who suffer, in a Buddha's eye view that is neither pity nor judgement.

Anger and aversion Compassion (karuna) Loving kindness (metta)
