Anger-Eating Demon

David Oromith · 30 minutes · recorded March 13, 2022

The meditation is a gratitude practice: we picture sunrise and settle into appreciation for the breath, the body, the mind and the people around us, closing with a few spoken affirmations. David tells the story of the anger eating demon, who grows monstrous with every threat and shrinks with every kindness. He draws out the lesson for anger at people, physical pain and unpleasant emotions alike, that what we resist persists and what we welcome softens.
