Exploring Attachment: a Dharma Cafe

David Oromith · 36 minutes · recorded November 15, 2023

Attachment, and why the mind soon tires of whatever it wanted. David tells Ajahn Brahm's story of the nun whose patched robe led to a cat, a cow, a field and a boy, and asks what her real problem actually was. He talks about the attachment loop, and asks what our own behaviour says we believe rather than what we know. This first Dharma Cafe opens with twenty four minutes of guided practice, mindfulness of breathing at the nostrils with counting from one to seven, and open discussion follows.

A meditation and a teaching from CCN's monthly Dharma Café, facilitated by David Oromith (June 3, 2023)
