Interdependence in Difficult Circumstances

David Oromith · 35 minutes · recorded October 29, 2023

In the body scan we move attention through the whole body, before David talks about interdependence, using the familiar image of a cup of coffee and the vast, uncountable web of people behind it. He explains why blaming a single cause, a late bus, a slow computer, a frozen laptop, misses the many conditions that actually produced a difficult situation, and why a broader view, looking from every angle as the Dalai Lama suggests, helps us respond with less anger and more realism.
