Join David for a free workshop on Insight Timer Live.
Caring for others, whether in a professional role or for loved ones, can be deeply rewarding, yet it often comes with unique challenges. How do we continue to give our best to those who need us, without neglecting our own needs? Is it not selfish to focus on ourselves?
In this talk, we’ll explore how to balance the demands of caregiving with the necessity of self-care. Drawing on Buddhist wisdom and modern insights, this session will offer tools for maintaining balance and resilience, arousing self-compassion, and finding moments of joy and gratitude, even amidst the challenges.
We’ll explore how to:
Avoid burnout by nurturing your own wellbeing and finding meaning and value.
Cultivate a mindset of gratitude and universal compassion to navigate difficult situations.
Reframe feelings of guilt or self-pity into kindness and care for yourself.
Use mindful practices to bring calm and clarity to your daily life.
Whether you’re a healthcare professional, a family caregiver, or simply seeking tools to care for yourself amidst life’s responsibilities, we hope this talk will offer practical strategies to help you thrive.
