During this three-week course aimed at beginners, we will go through the hows and whys of meditation. Combining theory and practice, you will be guided in an array of different meditations, get hints and tips from an experienced meditator, and receive guidance on any issues and blockages you experience.
Sometimes it feels like we have so little control over our mind. Because of this, we experience strong ups and downs and this gets in the way of our happiness and peace of mind. If we want to be truly happy and find some freedom from painful feelings, we must learn how to control our mind.
Meditation is a way of calming the mind, bringing it under control, and developing a positive approach to life. The benefits can be far-reaching; improving our physical and mental health, our relationships, and our way of viewing the world and dealing with difficulties.
This course will consist of 3 x 1.5hr sessions, delivered Live via Google Meet on Saturday mornings, 10-11.30am from Saturday, 27th February 2021 to Saturday, 13th March 2021.
We encourage you to attend all sessions live, to interact with the rest of the group, make friends, and share in the discussion sessions.
The sessions are a mixture of dharma talks, guided meditations, meditation tips, and group discussion.
There is no need to prepare anything special – just find a quiet, comfortable place where you will not be disturbed.
