The Four Steps

Glen Svensson · 77 minutes

In two guided practices we begin by imagining a situation with a strong sense of me: the me being praised, then the me being wrongly blamed. Each is searched for in the body and in the mind; in the second, body and mind are mentally dissolved to see whether a me is left over. Between them Glen Svensson lays out the four steps from the Dalai Lama's How to See Yourself as You Really Are, the first being identifying the target. The me that does exist is the mere I, merely labelled on the basis of the body and the mind.
