Discover Vipashyana Meditation

A twelve-session course in insight meditation with Glen Svensson, covering the three marks of existence, the view of emptiness and the nature of mind.

Glen Svensson introduces vipashyana, or insight meditation, the practice that cultivates a direct understanding of the nature of existence, across four days and twelve sessions. The course begins with the Three Marks of Existence: impermanence, suffering and not-self. It then turns to the View of Emptiness, with an introduction to the idea, an examination of emptiness itself, and a look at the boundaries of perception. The third day is given to the Emptiness of Person, working through the Four Steps of insight and the stages of progress in the practice. The fourth day turns to the Nature of Mind, with strategies for shorter practice and a summary of the path of vipashyana as a whole. Throughout, Glen covers the qualities to cultivate during meditation, the tools to use, and how to recognise and overcome the obstacles that commonly arise. Each session includes both teaching and guided meditation, so the theory and the experience of it are taken together.
